In the project are also integrated extensive safety measures: it is not only the case of the progressive deformation structure or even the central passenger cell which help to cushion the impact, but also the twin front airbags, the side airbags, the Antilock Braking System, the Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control systems.

Podía acelerar de 0 a 100 km/h en 7,0 segundos y alcanzar los 235 km/h de velocidad máxima. un poco mas tarde aparece una nueva version del Tango llamada SEAT Tango Racer era una version que parecia un monoplaza pero en realidad era un biplaza deportivo que con una cubierta oculta la plaza del pasajero fue presentado en color amarillo con la pate superior en gris y tiene las misma motorizacion que el SEAT Tango normal.
