- Rx Bandits ist eine vier Mitglieder umfassende Band aus Seal Beach, Kalifornien. Ihre Musik ist eine Mischung aus Ska, Reggae, Punk und Rock. Die Gründung erfolgte 1997, seitdem sind fünf Alben und eine DVD erschienen. Das dritte Album Progress verhalf ihnen zum Durchbruch. Die Songs dieses Albums sind weniger Ska-lastig, die anderen genannten Elemente kommen stärker zum tragen. Mit dem Folgealbum The Resignation schafften sie es 2003 schließlich erstmals auch in die US-Charts. Die oft abgekürzt RXB genannte Band hat einen starken politischen Anspruch, der sich in ihren Songtexten niederschlägt. Auch waren sie an der Rock-Against-Bush-Aktion beteiligt. Alle Alben, außer … And the Battle Begun wurden auf Drive-Thru Records bzw. Antedote records veröffentlicht. … And the Battle Begun erschien unter dem eigenen Label Mashdown Babylon. Im Sommer 2009 erschien das Album "Mandala", welches bei Sargent House produziert wird.
