Ronald F. Maxwell is an independent film director and writer from Clifton, New Jersey. He is most famous for writing and directing the American Civil War epics Gettysburg and Gods and Generals. The third part of the Civil War trilogy written by Michael Shaara and his son Jeffrey Shaara, The Last Full Measure, is a project currently waiting for financial backing, since the bankroller of the first two parts, Ted Turner, backed out following the poor reception of Gods and Generals.
