After three years in the Air Force, Quivers entered the radio industry in 1979, attending the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland. In early 1981, Quivers was asked to become a news anchor for Stern, a new morning personality hired at "DC-101". The pair were an instant success, and Quivers has co-presented with Stern ever since, working at WNBC, WXRK and Sirius XM Radio since January 2006.
