Robert Michael Sheehan (born January 7, 1988) is an Irish actor who is best known for playing King Louis XIV in the short-lived historical fantasy series Young Blades. Originally from Portlaoise, he has been acting since childhood, making his debut appearance in Aisling Walsh's acclaimed feature film Song for a Raggy Boy. Since then he has appeared in a number of feature films including A Dublin Story, Ghostwood, An Damhan Alla Anbhan and most recently Summer of the Flying Saucer.

In March 2009, he appeared in the role of BJ in the dark Channel 4 trilogy, Red Riding, the TV adaptation of David Peace's cult noir novels, three feature length films set in Yorkshire during the 1970s and 1980s - appearing in all three episodes alongside Sean Bean, David Morrissey, Andrew Garfield, Peter Mullan, Maxine Peake and Paddy Considine.
