Rob Smith (born Robert Smith in September 29 1982) is a singer/songwriter and former street busker based in Ireland. His musical influences include the Stone Roses, Mic Christopher, Paul Weller, and Noel Gallagher. Inspired by Paul Weller's 2001 acoustic tour, he almost always plays his gigs solo and acoustic despite his recorded music being a full band electric sound. He currently releases material under his own Cocklebob Recordings label.
