Rinchinbal, also known as Emperor Ningzong of Yuan, was a son of Kuśala who was briefly installed as Khagan of the Mongol Dynasty of the Borjigin Empire. He was the shortest-reigning monarch in the imperial history of Mongolia.

  • Irinchinbal war als Sohn Qutugku Khans ein Kaiser der Yuan-Dynastie. Er regierte nur im Jahr 1332. Irinchinbal war der zweite Sohn von Qutugku Khan und ein jüngerer (Halb-)Bruder von Toghan Timur. Er wurde von Babusha aus dem Naimanclan geboren, während sein Vater in Zentralasien im Exil verweilte. Als Qutugku Khan starb, folgte ihm Toqa Timur (reg. 1328/29, 1329-32) auf den Thron und der junge Irinchinbal wurde zum Prinzen von Fu erhoben. Toqa Timur hatte zwar noch einen eigenen Sohn namens El Tegüs, aber als er 1332 starb, entschloss sich seine Witwe Putashali seinen letzten Willen zu respektieren und Irinchibal anstelle des Prinzen El Tegüs als neuen Khan einzusetzen. Der De-facto-Regent El Temür unterstützte diese Entscheidung nur zögerlich und stellte sich auch ausdrücklich gegen Qutugku Khans älteren Sohn Toghan Timur, weil dieser ihn verdächtigte seinen Vater vergiftet zu haben. Da Irinchinbal der Liebling von Toqa Timur war, entschloss sich der Regent El Temür, den Jungen als neuen Khan zu inthronisieren. Doch nur zwei Monate später starb Irinchinbal überraschend im Alter von sieben Jahren. Erneut bat der Regent die Kaiserinwitwe Putashali den Prinzen El Tegüs als Nachfolger einzusetzen, was diese jedoch ablehnte. So blieb ihm keine andere Wahl als Toghan Timur aus Korea zurückzuholen und als neuen Khan zu begrüßen.

Quand son père Kuśala mourut, Wenzong lui succéda et Rinchinbal fut nommé prince de Fu. Bien que Tugh Temür Khan eut un fils nommé El Tegüs, sa veuve et la mère d'El Tegüs, Budashiri Khatun, respecta à sa mort en 1332 la volonté de Tugh Temür de faire du fils de Kuśala le successeur sur le trône au lieu d'El Tegüs. Le dirigeant de facto El Temür refusa de laisser Togoontomor, le fils aîné de Kuśala, monter sur le trône car il était soupçonné d'avoir empoisonné son père. Pendant que Togoontomor était mis à l’écart, éloigné de la capitale Khanbaliq, le jeune Rinchinbal se trouvait à Khanbaliq et devint le favori de Tugh Temür. Ainsi El Temür décida d'installer Rinchinbal comme grand-khan, mais il mourut deux mois plus tard, âgé seulement de sept ans. El Temür demanda encore à Budashiri d’installer El Tegüs mais elle refusa. Il n'y eut pas eu d’autre choix que d’inviter Togoontomor à revenir du lointain Yunnan.
