- The Richmond–Fremont line of the Bay Area Rapid Transit system in the San Francisco Bay Area of the United States consists of 18 metro stations from Richmond to Fremont. It passes through El Cerrito, Berkeley, Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, and Union City. Throughout its journey, it shares its tracks with other lines. This was the first of BART's lines to begin regular service; on September 11, 1972, the first revenue-service trains began running between Fremont and MacArthur stations . It is also the only line of the entire BART network that does not serve the city of San Francisco. BART lines are usually not referred to by the color that identifies them on official system maps, so this line is rarely called the Orange Line, and this term is never used by BART officials. Although it is the only line that serves only the East Bay, it is also rarely called the "East Bay Line" but is almost invariably called "Richmond–Fremont Line", to avoid confusion with all the other lines that provide service to various parts of the East Bay sub-region. Currently the line is being extended to Warm Springs and then to Berryessa in San Jose. This line will be the only one to go past Warm Springs.

As it does not go through the Transbay Tube, it is occasionally referred to as the "East Bay Line" or "Land Line". The line will be extended to Warm Springs in 2015 and then to Berryessa in San Jose in 2016-2018.
- The Richmond–Fremont line is a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) line in the San Francisco Bay Area from Richmond station to Fremont station. It has 18 stations in Richmond, El Cerrito, Berkeley, Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Union City, and Fremont, and is the only BART line that does not reach San Francisco. On weekdays and Saturdays before 7pm, all of its track is shared with other lines. BART maps show this line orange, but no one refers to BART lines by color. As BART's only line that does not cross the San Francisco Bay, it may be called the East Bay line or Land line. The Richmond–Fremont line was the first of BART's five lines to open. Service from MacArthur station to Fremont station began on September 11, 1972, the first day of BART operation. The line was extended to Richmond station on January 29, 1973. Fare Fremont to MacArthur was $1.00; Fremont to Richmond was $1.10. After an electrical fire at the Hayward Maintenance Yard on May 10, 2008 BART temporarily moved the Richmond–Fremont line's south terminus to Bay Fair station on weekdays and Saturdays. Richmond–Fremont passengers were directed to transfer between the Richmond–Fremont line and the Fremont–Daly City line at Bay Fair. All trains had to slow passing the yard as repairs were made; full service resumed on July 14, 2008. As part of BART's Warm Springs extension project and first phase of the Silicon Valley extension project, this line will be extended to Warm Springs/South Fremont station in 2015 and then to Berryessa station in San Jose in 2016-2018. Current plans call for the line to be eventually extended to Santa Clara station.
