Richard L. Bare (born August 12, 1909) is an American director of television shows and short films. Born in Modesto, California,he was notable for writing and directing the Joe McDoakes series of short films for Warner Brothers between 1942 and 1956,which featured George O'Hanlon in the title role. On TV, he directed The Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man", and directed virtually every episode of the 1960s-1970s CBS television series Green Acres.
