He began selling drugs at the age of 12 by selling eggs and sage that had been put in the oven,cooked and dried out to imitate the drug "Hash" Soon after he began selling dope. By the time he was 16 he owned a brand new BMW. It is rumored that he never wore the same outfit twice and had a garage in manhattan filled with dozens of luxury cars. He also did many dealing with mafioso Ian "E. N" Saporita before he was shot and killed in front of a bodega in harlem. Porter was slain by one time friend Alpo on or around jan. 3, 1990 after a financial dispute after Alpo ran into his supplier and was informed that richard was getting bricks of cocaine and didnt evenly divide them. Alpo says "It wasn't personal it was business" It had nothing to do with his younger brother Donnell Porter who was kidnapped and held for ransom by then unknown assailants. His body was carried from harlem to City Island in the Bronx and dumped. It was later revealed that Richard's uncle Apple was responsible for the disappearace and murder of Donnell Porter.
