- Ricardo Augustus Guerreiro Baptista Leite, MP, MD, PhD(c) (born 31 May 1980) is an elected Member of Parliament in Portugal. He is also an elected member at Cascais City Hall Parliament, since 9 October 2005 (on his third term). Ricardo is the Head of Public Health at the Catholic University of Portugal. He is a guest lecturer at the NOVA Medical School and NOVA Information Management School, where he is also the coordinator of the curricular unit on Sustainable Healthcare. He is also a medical consultant at a multinational company in the field of information technologies geared to healthcare. He was a PhD candidate in Public Health and Health Systems at Maastricht University (the Netherlands). Ricardo completed his post-graduate studies in many universities in Europe and abroad, among which are Johns Hopkins University (MD, USA), Harvard Medical School (MA, USA), Harvard Kennedy School of Government/IESE (Madrid, Spain), Albert Einstein College of Medicine (NY, USA) and AESE Business School (Lisbon, Portugal). He is also part of the ZEIT Stiftung alumni and Senior Fellow at New Westminster College (British Columbia, Canada). He is the founder of CREATING HEALTH - Research and Innovation Funding. He is a co-founder of the Estoril Conferences. He is a member of the European Leadership Network and of the 2015 European Young Leaders programme. He is the main author of the books Citizenship for Health (Cidadania para a Saúde) and Strategic Consensus for the Integrated Management of Hepatitis C in Portugal (Consenso Estratégico para a Gestão Integrada da Hepatite C em Portugal). He is a public speaker and media commentator on current and economic affairs, health policy, public health, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other infectious diseases. (en)
