Renton were a short lived Scottish indie-rock band from the city of Dundee who were active from 1999-2001. Originally they started out as a cover band playing britpop anthems and old punk classics but later wrote some of their own songs. They released their only single, the self financed 'Ms. Popularity' in 2001 on Pivvy Records which reached #44 on the Indie charts. The band split in April 2001 straight after their final gig at the city's Westport Bar.
