Red Wanting Blue is an American independent rock band from Athens, Ohio, formed in 1995. However the band has made Columbus, Ohio home. The current members are main vocalist Scott Terry, bassist, back-up vocalist and chapman stick Mark McCullough, guitarist, back-up vocalist and keyboardist Greg Rahm, drummer and percussionist Eddie Davis, and guitarist, Lap Steel and back-up vocalist Eric Hall. The band has released seven studio albums since forming in 1995.

The band has released seven studio albums since forming in 1995. Their most successful of which has been the 2008 release of These Magnificent Miles. In 2006 the band released The Warehouse Sessions, which was their first live album. The Warehouse Sessions was recorded to help bridge the gap between Pride: The Cold Lover and These Magnificent Miles. It was recorded in their private warehouse where 100 friends and family members were able to attend. Upon forming in 1995, Red Wanting Blue has "since grown to be one of the most successful indie bands in the Midwestern United States". The band keeps a busy touring schedule, playing an estimated 110 shows a year.
