- Rave was an Indian music magazine, launched in March 2002. As of February 2009, it had published 68 issues. The magazine showcased both Indian and international culture with patrons in the United States, Canada, South East Asia, the United Kingdom, the Persian Gulf, Kenya and India. Rave shut down in February 2009, with publisher Rishi Shah citing bankruptcy. The magazine featured aspects of creativity and culture such as fashion (jewellery, accessories and clothing), dance (traditional, contemporary and pop), film (Bollywood, international and independent), photography, technology, performing arts and lifestyle topics such as cuisine, yoga and spirituality. Musically, Rave covered everything from Indian classical music to rock, jazz, and world music spanning Africa, South America, Europe and Asia. Rave co-sponsored more than 70 unique live events in India featuring Roger Waters, Deep Purple, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones. Rave was closely associated with some of India's most prestigious musicians including Pandit Ravi Shankar, Pandit Jasraj, Lata Mangeshkar, A. R. Rahman, Sivamani, and Zakir Hussain.
