Raoul Walsh (March 11, 1887, New York City – December 31, 1980, Simi Valley, CA) was an American film director, actor, founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and the brother of silent screen actor George Walsh. As a young man he was a close friend of Virginia O'Hanlon of "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" fame.

Kendisi belki bir yaratıcı sinemacı veya sanat filmleri yönetmeni sayılmazdı, ama yalın anlatımı ile kitleler için sinema yapan, bunu yaparken de kaliteden ödün vermeyen bir yönetmen oldu. Filmlerinde serüven ve eğlenceyi ön planda tutuyordu. Hollywood'un bu efsane yönetmeni hayatını büyük bir bölümünü çalışarak geçirdi, öldüğünde 93 yaşındaydı. 1928 yılında bir film çekimine giderken geçirdiği otomobil kazasında sağ gözünü kaybetti. Bir göz bandı kullanan Walsh, John Ford, Fritz Lang ve Nicholas Ray'le beraber Hollywood'un taktığı göz bandıyla özdeşleşen yönetmenlerinden biri oldu. Renkli filmle arası pek iyi olmadı, bütün başyapıtlarını siyah beyaz çekmiştir. Diğer gözünün de sorun çıkarması üzerine 1964 yılında kendisini emekliye ayırdı. Sadece 1970'te tek bir senaryo daha yazarak sinemaya bir dönüş yaptı.
