Quedgeley is a suburb and civil parish of Gloucester, England, situated south-west of the city. It is the only civil parish in Gloucester, and a has a population of 11,800. Quedgeley Pond, an area of marshy ground adjacent to Clearwater Drive, regularly attracts Jack Snipe in winter. Situated with Quedgeley, is the Little Thatch Hotel which has an intruiging history. The Original "Little Thatch" was built in 1351 and, as such, it is one of the oldest buildings in Gloucestershire.

The Original "Little Thatch" was built in 1351 and, as such, it is one of the oldest buildings in Gloucestershire. At the time there was only 20 people living in Quedgeley. It was an important building and local tradition says that, in 1535, King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn stayed here on their way to visit the Fleet in Bristol. At that time, the former Queen Katharine of Aragon was still alive and Anne Boleyn was not accepted by the population of Gloucester, who were then predominantly Catholic as the legitimate Queen of England.
