Qazvin hydrogen power plant or Talaqan hydrogen power plant is a pilot hydrogen power plant built by Renewable energies organization of Iran in Qazvin Province, Iran. The work on the plant started in 2001 and it became operational in 2009. The idea of the plant is based on solar–hydrogen energy cycle. It produces hydrogen by catalyzing water either using solar power or by using grid electricity during off peak hours. The hydrogen produced is stored in special tanks under pressure.

  • Qazvin hydrogen power plant or Talaqan hydrogen power plant is a pilot hydrogen power plant built by Renewable energies organization of Iran in Qazvin Province, Iran. The stored hydrogen can either be used as a fuel on itself or can be converted to electrical energy using Fuel cells, supplying the grid during peak demand hours. The pilot plant has a total electrical generation capacity of 200 kW. It is being used to develop hydrogen technologies for larger hydrogen power plants.
