Punkreas is one of the most famous punk bands in Italy. They were founded in Parabiago, Milan, in 1989 and in 2008 they published their last record. Since during the 15 years of activity, with a lot of tours, the starting lineup changed only once, and Punkreas produced a record about every two years. Nowadays the lineup is composed of Cippa, Flaco, Paletta, Noyse, who substituted Claudio since the demo tape Isterico and Gagno, who substituted Mastino since the record Falso.

Una delle caratteristiche principali della band è la costanza e la solidità: in 15 anni caratterizzati da continui tour, la line up ha subito due soli cambi ed i Punkreas hanno prodotto in media un album ogni due anni. Attualmente la formazione è composta da Cippa, Flaco, Paletta, Noyse, che dopo il demo tape "Isterico" ha sostituito Caludio, e Gagno che da Falso ha sostituito Mastino. Musicalmente, la band ha sonorità grezze e potenti con una tecnica migliorata molto nel tempo ed una creatività - in particolare nei testi - molto spinta. Soprattutto negli ultimi anni si è fatta più marcata una contaminazione con lo ska ed in generale il suono è diventato più elaborato, con grande uso del wah wah e del palm mute.
