On January 13, 1950, four Sisters arrived in Jhelum, one of the smallest cities in Pakistan. They laid the foundation of the Presentation Convent School. There were two big compounds with mud huts on both, and Jada Road laid between them. The school was opened in May. By 1962, Sr. Anne Broderick had, with the help of contractor, Mohammad Sharif Bhatti, replaced all the mud huts with beautiful new building. By degrees other extensions were made to provide the quality school the city has today. Most of their students (Christians) have decided to follow in the footsteps of Nano Nagle as Presentation Sisters. Present Convent Jhelum. In 2009, 1700 students are enrolled in the school. The Principal is Sr. Riffat Sadiq. Though, the Jhelum city has many excellent schools but Convent is however considered as the best institution. The school is very well organized and the discipline of this school is acknowledged everywhere in the city and the country as well. On 13Th January,2012 the school celebrated its 62Nd anniversary. Its most famous alumnus is Lieutenant General Masood Aslam, Sitara-i-Jurat, Colonel Commandant of the Punjab Regiment of the Pakistan Army.
