Postimees (The Courier) is an Estonian daily newspaper. It was established in 1 January 1857 by Johann Voldemar Jannsen and became Estonia's first daily newspaper in 1891. As of the beginning of 2009, Postimees was Estonia's largest circulated newspaper, with over 242,000 readers and a daily circulation of 61,000 to 72000.

In 2000, the website was given a revamp, and it began publishing online news on a daily basis. It is now an important news portal. During the 2007 Bronze Soldier of Tallinn controversy, the Postimees website was attacked and blocked to international visitors for a week. As of 2009, Postimees. ee is Estonia's second largest news producer online after Delfi. ee, having over 500,000 readers per week. Postimees is a wholly owned subsidiary of Norway's Schibsted company, one of the leading media groups in Scandinavia. Postimees Online is a 100% daughter company for Postimees, establisehed in May 2006. Postimees Online manages several wellknown online Estonian news brands: Elu24. ee, Ilmajaam. ee, Tarbija24. ee and Postimees Online as well as the Rus. postimees. ee. As of February Postimees Online has 58 employees. The CEO of Postimees Online is Aivar Reinap.
