Beide Orte sind Pendlerorte, viele der Einwohner arbeiten im Zentrum der Stadt. Jedes Jahr im Mai wird der „Dia do Santo Cristo“, das Fest des Heiligen Christus, mit aufwendig geschmückten, mit Blumen ausgelegten Straßen gefeiert.
