Pierre Blaise (11 june 1955 - 31 August 1975) was a young Frenchman who was offered by director Louis Malle the leading role in his 1974 film Lacombe Lucien. Malle had been looking for a non-actor to play the titular character and was convinced by Blaise's authenticity. Despite the film's success, Pierre Blaise spurned a cinema career to return to wood cutting in rural France. Only a year after the film, he was killed in a car accident.

Le film sera nommé aux Oscars et ratera les Césars, ces derniers étant créés l'année suivante. Blaise s'était d'abord rendu au casting par jeu. La scène où il décapite une poule n'était pas prévue : il devait seulement l'assommer d'une tape. Étant costaud, il lui aura fait voler le cou. Louis Malle décida de garder la scène telle quelle. Hormis Lacombe Lucien, il n'a joué que dans trois films : Le Grand Délire, Les Noces de porcelaine et Vertiges. Blaise se tue accidentellement à 20 ans, au volant de la voiture qu'il s'était offerte avec l'argent obtenu par son rôle, en sortant d'un bal, s'écrasant contre un platane au lieu-dit Laujol entre Moissac et Durfort-Lacapelette où il résidait chez ses parents. Il est inhumé dans le cimetière de Durfort-Lacapelette dans le Tarn-et-Garonne.
