Penny Ford, also known as Pennye Ford, is a musician. She is the daughter of record veteran executive and producer Gene Redd. sr, and the late evangelist/pastor Carolyn Ford-Griffith (1943-2007), and the half sister of the late Sharon Redd. Following a stint as a GAP Band backing vocalist, she released an album entitled Pennye in 1984 and her following single, "Dangerous" reached the UK Singles Chart in 1985.

Likewise, in 1993 she released another album, Penny Ford and had another Top 50 UK single from it: "Daydreaming". She became good friends with Chaka Khan when singing background vocals on "Our Day Will Come", a duet with Edwin Starr. Ford was a lead singer (alongside the line "I've Got the Power"; a vocal sample from the Jocelyn Brown song, "Love's Gonna Get You") with the German electronic band SNAP! on "The Power". Ford also sang the lead vocal on the Snap! songs, "Oops Up", "Mary Had a Little Boy" and "The Colour of Love" In 2003, Ford appeared on an episode of Judge Mathis suing a producer/boyfriend. One of her witnesses was Chaka Khan, though she did not appear, Khan spoke to the judge by telephone.
