Patricia Torres Ray is a Democratic Farmer Labor Party member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 62 since January 2007. She currently serves as a majority whip. Her district is in the southeastern part of Minneapolis. Ray succeeded the retiring Wes Skoglund. She is the first Hispanic American to be elected to the Minnesota Senate. Ray currently serves on the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Health, Housing and Family Security Committee.
