About: Password Safe

Password Safe is a free open-source program for storing passwords in the Windows operating system. There are plenty of implementations on other operating systems, hence sharing the password databases is not limited to Windows. After filling in the master password the user has access to all account data entered and saved previously. The data can be organized by categories, can be sorted and searched.

The program was initiated by Bruce Schneier and is now developed by a group of volunteers at SourceForge.
