The Parliament of Dalmatia was the regional parliament of the former Kingdom of Dalmatia within the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was founded in 1861 in Zadar and was eventually dissolved in the early 1900s. The Autonomists (pro-Italian) held their position as the parliamentary majority from the founding of the Dalmatian parliament until 1870, when the People's Party (Croatian) won the parliamentary elections that year. Croatian became the official language of the parliament in 1883.

Im Falle von Dalmatien war jedoch zunächst die Frage in der Diskussion, ob es einen eigenständigen dalmatinischen Landtag geben sollte oder ob Dalmatien Teil des dreieinigen Königreichs Kroatiens sein solle und die Volksvertretung daher der kroatische Sabor. In dieser Diskussion setzten sich die Autonomisten gegen die Befürworter einer Vereinigung durch. Neben dem machtpolitischen Interesse Wiens war die Tatsache hier ausschlaggebend, dass mehr als die Hälfte der Abgeordneten im ersten Dalmatinischen Landtag italienischsprachig waren. Auch wenn die Frage zunächst entschieden war, war sie doch regelmäßig Gegenstand der Beratungen des Landtags.
