Since its inception, the College has been at the forefront of educating students and working in conjunction with lawmakers and medical professionals to advance the standards of both the profession and the College’s curriculum. PCOM's San Diego campus was made a candidate for Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine accreditation in 1990. It was accredited in 1995, and reaccredited in 2000 and 2004. The New York branch was made a candidate by ACAOM in November 1993, became accredited in November 1995, and was reaccredited in 2001 and 2004. The Chicago branch was accredited in May 2001 and reaccredited in May 2004.
