Owain Lawgoch,, full name Owain ap Thomas ap Rhodri (c. 1330 - July 1378), was a Welsh soldier who served in Spain, France, Alsace and Switzerland. He led a Free Company fighting for the French against the English in the Hundred Years' War. As the last politically active descendant of Llywelyn the Great in the male line, he was a claimant to the title of Prince of Gwynedd and of Wales.

Il s'embarque (en voile) à Harfleur avec de l'argent emprunté à Charles V, mais l'expédition doit être abandonnée lorsque Charles décide qu'il a besoin des services d'Yvain en tant que soldat à La Rochelle. Owain Lawgoch se distingua surtout sur mer où il participa à de nombreuses batailles. Le 23 août 1372, Owain fit prisonnier Jean de Grailly, captal de Buch à Soubise. En 1377 Yvain prévoit une autre expédition, cette fois avec l'aide de la Castille. Le gouvernement anglais alerté envoie un espion, l'écossais Jon Lamb, pour assassiner Yvain, ce qu'il fait en juillet 1378 au siège de Mortagne-sur-Mer dans le Poitou.
