Osip Piatnitsky (January 17, 1882 - 29 July 1938) was a revolutionary. He was an associate of Vladimir Lenin since 1902, when he smuggled Lenin's propaganda into Russia from abroad. He became head of the Otdel mezhdonarodnoi sviazi (OMS) of the Comintern when it was founded in 1921. In 1937 he attempted to organize opposition within the Central Committee of the Bolshevik party to Stalin's "Great Terror. " He was arrested and executed.
