  • Der Opel Super 6 wurde im Februar 1937 im Rahmen der Automobil- und Motorrad-Ausstellung in Berlin von der Firma Opel zusammen mit deren Spitzenmodell „Admiral" vorgestellt und nur bis November 1938 gebaut. Durch die konventionelle Rahmenbauweise waren diverse Sonderaufbauten möglich: Gebaut wurde das Fahrzeug u. a. als Cabriolet, Limousine und Roadster. Das Super 6 Cabriolet „Gläser“ mit einer Karosserie der Gläser-Karosserie GmbH, Dresden war das luxuriöse Schmuckstück dieser Reihe. Nachdem in fast zwei Jahren 46.453 Wagen des Typs „Super 6" hergestellt waren, folgte mit dem gleichen Motor ab Ende 1938 der Opel Kapitän mit dann selbsttragender Karosserie und anderer Vorderachse.
