Uncomfortable with the music and image he was pressured into presenting, Leontiou broke away from the pop scene and embarked on the One eskimO project. In an interview with the Guardian Newspaper, he said: They have a fan in Janice Long who presents her own show on BBC Radio 2 and invited the band into the studio to record an interview and a brief, three song session. Long still plays released tracks "Kandi" and "Hometime" regularly during her slot. One eskimO supported Tori Amos on her 2009 Sinful Attraction Tour and subsequently released the 4-track "One eskimO EP".
