Old Market Square is an open, pedestrianised town square in Nottingham city centre, England. It is the largest such square surviving in the country, forming the heart of the city and it covers an area of about 22,000 m². The square is bounded by Beast Market Hill to the West (top end), Smithy Row along the northern edge and South Parade on the Southern edge. The front, Eastern end of the square is dominated by the Council House, which serves as the city hall.
