Octávio Joaquim Coelho Machado is a former Portuguese football player and coach. A defensive midfielder, Machado was a leading player for Vitória de Setúbal and F.C. Porto during the 1970s, winning two national champion titles. He had 20 caps for the national team, 10 for both Setúbal and Porto, scoring two goals. His first appearance was on 21 November 1971, a 1–1 tie with Belgium, in an Euro 1972 qualification match.

- Octávio Joaquim Coelho Machado is a former Portuguese football player and coach. A defensive midfielder, Machado was a leading player for Vitória de Setúbal and F.C. Porto during the 1970s, winning two national champion titles. He had 20 caps for the national team, 10 for both Setúbal and Porto, scoring two goals. His first appearance was on 21 November 1971, a 1–1 tie with Belgium, in an Euro 1972 qualification match. The last one came against Poland, on October 29, 1977, a 1–1 1978 World Cup qualifier. After finishing his football career, Machado went on to become an assistant coach to Artur Jorge, joining his Porto staff in 1984-85. There, he won two leagues in a row and the 1987 European Champions Cup, remaining alongside Jorge into the 1990s, when he finally became a leading trainer, coaching both Porto and Sporting Clube de Portugal. After his long experience in professional football, Machado started a private business activity in agriculture, and was involved in local politics in his hometown Palmela.
