The NSCC organization includes four nationally recognized specialized institutes: the Nova Scotia Nautical Institute, the School of Fisheries, the Aviation Institute, and the Centre of Geographical Sciences which is also internationally-recognized as a leader in Geomatics training. The college has a growing commitment to applied research, and has recently embarked on an ambitious international program. Educating over 25,000 students a year, the NSCC provides the majority of technical and apprenticeship training in the province of Nova Scotia.
