By 1912, the number of pupils had risen to 193. Overcrowding led to the construction of a new building in 1953. Proposals to close the school in 1987 were defeated, and the now newly refurbished high school continues to thrive. Alumni include the actress Helena Carroll and the singer/actress Clare Grogan. School Prayer : Lord, we thank you for bringing us together in your name. Help us to do our best today, and to be good to each other as you are good to us. Amen.
