The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent, humanitarian non-governmental organisation which provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees, internally displaced persons, and returnees worldwide. NRC promotes and protects the rights of people who have been forced to flee their countries, or their homes within their countries. It is the only Norwegian organisation that specialises in international efforts aimed at this target group.

  • Stiftelsen Flyktninghjelpen er en norsk humanitær organisasjon som siden 1946 har arbeidet for å fremme og beskytte rettighetene til flyktninger i eller utenfor sitt eget land. Organisasjonen er religiøst og partipolitisk uavhengig stiftelse. Organisasjonens virksomhet konsentrerer seg rundt fem kjerneaktiviteter: Utdanning – grunnleggende utdannelse for barn og ungdom Husly – midlertidig husly, bygging og rehabilitering av hus og skoler Distribusjon – assistanse med mat og andre livsnødvendige varer Juridisk rådgivning – informasjon, rådgivning og juridisk bistand Leirledelse Flyktninghjelpen har over 2600 ansatte i over 20 land i fire verdensdeler. I tillegg driver organisasjonen en av verdens største beredskapsstyrker for bistandspersonell: nær 1000 kvinner og menn som kan reise hvor som helst i verden i løpet av 72 timer. Flyktninghjelpen er den eneste norske humanitære organisasjon som har spesialisert seg på beskyttelse og hjelp til mennesker på flukt. Organisasjonen ble stiftet i 1946 under navnet Europahjelpen. Den tidligere organisasjonen Nansenhjelp ble den gang integrert i Europahjelpen. Organisasjonen har senere hatt navnene Det Norske Flyktningeråd og Flyktningerådet, før den i 2005 skiftet den navn til Flyktninghjelpen. Elisabeth Rasmusson fra Oslo har vært generalsekretær siden 14. januar 2008.
