Norsk Målungdom is an organization of youth working for the written language of neo-norwegian and the Norwegian dialects. Norsk Målungdom (shortened NMU) is the youth organization of Noregs Mållag. Neo-norwegian (nynorsk) is used by somewhat less than half a million people around 10-15% of the population and is based on Norwegian dialects (particularly in Western Norway and inner parts of the country).

On the other hand, the dominant written language in Norway, dano-norwegian, is an adaptation of the Danish language used as a written standard in Norway since about 1500.

I likhet med Noregs mållag ser organisasjonen på nynorsk som en bedre skriftnormal enn bokmål, fordi «der bokmål har opphavet sitt i dansk, er nynorsk ein samnemnar for alle dei norske dialektane». NMU mener således at nynorsk passer for alle. Norsk Målungdom gir ut medlemsavisa Motmæle. Leder er Jens Kihl.
