Direct busses to Nawalapitiya from colombo is not a frequent service. Other option is to travel via Kandy. one can get a bus to Kandy from petta very easily. both Air conditioned and normal buses run frequently. from kandy one has to get the bus No.725 to Nawalapitiya (1 hour ride). there is a frequent bus service from Kandy to Nawalapitiya.
