The National Movement for the Development of Society - MNSD (1989-1991) / MNSD-NASSARA (1991-) is a political party in Niger. Founded under the military government of the 1974-1990 period, it is currently the ruling party of Niger, and the party of the president, Tandja Mamadou.

Congré qui fait suite à la comdamnation pour detournement de fonds de l'ancien premier ministre et président du MNSD Hama Amadou. Le MNSD est l'ancien parti unique du Niger. Il était dirigé par Mamadou Tandja jusqu'au 21 décembre 2001 puis par Hama Amadou. Lors de l'élection présidentielle du 16 novembre et 4 décembre 2004, le MNSD présentait Mamadou Tandja qui a obtenu 40,7 % des voix au premier tour et 65,5 % au second face à Mahamadou Issoufou. Lors des élections législatives du 4 décembre 2004, le MNSD a reçu 37,2 % des votes et 47 sièges sur les 113 que compte l'assemblée nationale nigérienne.

MNSD bildades 1989 av Nigerias dåvarande ledare Ali Saibou och var en tid landets enda tillåtna parti. I november 1991 valdes Mamadou Tandja till partiledare. Tandjas konkurrent om partiledarskapet, Moumouni Adamou Djermakoye, lämnade då MSND och bildade Alliansen för demokrati och framsteg. Dessa båda partier regerar sedan 2002 landet tillsammans med Demokratisk och social samling. Tandja är president och MSND:s partiledare Hama Amadou är statsminister.
