- Nathan K. Reichert is the Iowa State Representative from the 80th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2005. He received his BA from the University of Northern Colorado and MBA from the University of Iowa. Reichert currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Appropriations committee, the Commerce committee, the Public Safety committee, the Environmental Protection Committee,and the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capitals Appropriations Subcommittee. He is Chair of the the Standing Energy Subcommittee. He won his seat in 2004 defeating Barry Brauns with 6,654 votes to Brauns' 6,098 votes Reichert was re-elected in 2006 with 5,245 votes (60%), defeating Republican opponent R. Greg Orr who received 3,421 votes. He won re-election again in 2008 defeating Muscatine City Council member Bob Howard with 7,299 votes to Howard's 5,812.
