Blessed Mykola Konrad was a Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest and martyr. Konrad was born on 16 May 1876 in the village of Strusiv in Ternopil Region. He studied philosophy and theology in Rome, where he defended his dissertation and received his doctorate. He was ordained a priest in 1899. He taught for a time in high schools in Berezhany and Terebovlya, before in 1930 he was asked by Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytsky to teach at the Lviv Theological Academy.

He was then appointed parish priest in the village of Stradch. On 26 June, 1941 agents of the Soviet NKVD mercilessly tortured and murdered him along with Volodymyr Pryjma, in a forest near Stradch as they were returning from the house of a sick woman who had requested the sacrament of reconciliation. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 27, 2001.

Учителював у Бережанській і Теребовлянській гімназіях. У 1930 р. митр. А. Шептицький запросив отця-доктора викладати у Львівській Богословській Академії, а згодом призначив його парохом у с. Страдч біля Яворова, де його і спіткала смерть. Загинув трагічно від рук більшовиків 26 червня 1941 року. Обряд беатифікації відбувся 27 червня 2001 р. у м. Львові під час Святої Літургії у візантійському обряді за участі Івана Павла ІІ.
