Desde ao visual até à interpretação das canções, My Federation tem tanto de engraçado como de sério. Em 2007, Honey Bee, o primeiro single da banda, ganhou o prémio de melhor música num programa de rádio, através do número de votos na sua primeira actuação ao vivo. O EP de estreia da banda, também intitulado Honey Bee, foi lançado pelo editora Eye Industries, a 30 de Abril de 2007 e teve direita a grande cobertura tanto na televisão como na rádio. O segundo single da banda, "Don't Wanna Die" foi lançado em Abril de 2008 tal como o seu álbum de estreia, também chamado "Don't Wanna Die". Em Maio de 2008, a banda participou no conhecido programa de televisão da BBC, The Culture Show. Durante o Verão de 2008 a banda andou em tournée pela Europa, ao tocar em vários festivais no Reino Unido, França, Suíça e Letónia e no Outono de 2008, uma das faixas do cd Don’t Wanna Die, chamada What Gods Are These, fez parte da banda sonora do jogo FIFA09, da EA Sports.
