Muzaffer Ozak was one of the head sheikhs of the Halveti-Jerrahi order of Dervishes, a traditional muslim Sufi order from Istanbul. In western countries he is well known because of his visits to Europe and the United States of America where he celebrated public dhikrs (Remembrance of God; in Turkish "zikrullah") with his dervishes. He is also well known in Turkey for his "ilahis," religious Sufi hymns. The Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order in New York City is named for him.

- Muzaffer Ozak al-Dscherrahi al-Halveti war ein islamischer Mystiker und Sheikh der Dscherrahi-Tariqa in Istanbul. Er war der 19. Nachfolger des Ordensgründers Pir Nureddin al-Dscherrahi al-Halveti. Sein Vater war Hadji Mehmed Efendi aus Konya, islamischer Gelehrter und Lehrer am Hof des Sultans Abdul Hamid, seine Mutter Hadja Aysha Ozak, Enkelin von Sayyid Hussein Efendi (Halveti-Sheikh aus dem Ort Yanbolu, das heute auf dem Staatsgebiet von Bulgarien liegt), der von Ali, dem Schwiegersohn des Propheten Muhammad, abstammt. Von seinen Derwischen wird er Muzaffer Efendi genannt.
