Saint Mutien-Marie Wiaux (Mucian Mary Wiaux; Mucian of Malonne) was a Belgian member of the Brothers of Christian Schools. He was born Louis Wiaux, the third of six children, in French-speaking Belgium to a devout Catholic family. After joining the Christian Brothers, he took the religious name Mutien-Marie, "Mutien" being a reference to the early Roman martyr Mucian. He began the novitiate at Namur.

After teaching at an elementary school, he was assigned to teach at a boarding school, where he taught fine arts, including music and art, for fifty-eight years. At first teaching was a difficult assignment for him, and his students were known as disruptive and out of control. But in time Brother Mutien grew into an effective teacher also known for his patience and piety. He taught music and art, a saint of sensibility not intellect. Mutien-Marie was buried in Malonne. His fame began to grow after his death and miracles were attributed to him. His feast day is 30 January.

In 1856 trad Louis in bij de broeders van de Christelijke Scholen in Namen en ontvangt hij de naam Mutien-Marie. Hij wordt naar Chimay gestuurd voor een opleiding als docent. Deze sluit hij af in Brussel waarna hij in Malonne leraar wordt. Hij geeft les in muziek en tekenen en was een voorbeeld voor de jeugd in het gebed. Tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog heeft hij het schoolgebouw weten te beschermen tijden de bezetting door de Duitsers. Na zijn dood, gebeurden op zijn voorspraak wonderen en werd de plaats in Malonne waar hij begraven ligt een bedevaartsoord. Op 10 december 1989 is hij door paus Johannes Paulus II heilig verklaard. Zijn feestdag is op 30 januari. Hij wordt vereerd in de Sint-Martinuskerk te Aarsele waar vereerders in 1988 een beeld van hem plaatsten (zie foto). Er wordt ook een relikwie van hem bewaard.
