Murali (25 May 1954 - 6 August 2009) was an Indian actor and author. He mainly acted in Malayalam and Tamil films. He won the National Award for best actor for his portrayal of a freedom fighter and professional weaver in the film Neythukaran. He was also a stage actor and television serial actor. He was known for his powerful portrayal of character roles, lead roles, and negative roles. Besides acting, he was the chairman of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy from 2006 until death.

Murali was ook toneelacteur en trad op in televisiereeksen. Hij was vooral gekend voor zijn sterke karakterrollen, hoofdrollen en rollen van slechteriken. Naast acteren, was Murali sinds 2006 ook voorzitter van de Sangeetha Nataka Academie van Kerala en schreef hij 5 boeken. In 1999 nam hij als communistisch kandidaat deel aan de Lok Sabha-verkiezingen, evenwel zonder succes. Hij leed aan acute diabetes en kreeg een hartaanval, waaraan hij overleed in augustus 2009.
