Mpix offers a variety of classic films from the 1920s to the 1990s on two 24-hour pay-television channels, Mpix and MorePix. Mpix is carried by various Canadian cable and satellite television in providers Eastern Canada including Bell TV, Shaw Direct, Rogers Digital Cable, Vidéotron, EastLink, Cogeco and more. It is the equivalent of Encore Avenue, which is available in the rest of Canada. Mpix is also the only private broadcaster financing film preservation in Canada through its sponsorship of the AV Preservation Trust and National Archives. The channel launched in 1994 as TMN Moviepix, and by 1996, was simply known as Moviepix at the time. By 2003, the channel was renamed Mpix.
