Mount Nirvana, at 2,773 m (9,098 ft) is the name of the highest mountain in the Northwest Territories, Canada. Part of the Mackenzie Mountains, it was first climbed by Bill Buckingham and Lew Surdam in July 1965. Although Buckingham gave it the name Nirvana, and it shows on alpine literature as such, as of 2008 the Canadian Government still refers to it as "unnamed peak".
