Motormouth was a Saturday morning children's television series that was produced by Television South and aired across the ITVnetwork for four series, from 1988 until 1992. The show's title was initially in reference to the studio set which featured as its centrepiece, a giant mechanical mouth. This left the show's title having no obvious meaning. Further changes were made for the third series, which saw the introduction of a trendy youth bar which was sometimes informally referred to as 'The Motormouth Cafe'. The format and styling was left largely intact for the fourth series. The main cast remained unchanged from the previous run. For the fouth series another new element was introduced. A fictitious behind-the-scenes comedy story would be cut into the episodes, with four members of the production crew intermingling with the presenters and guests. Carla Mendonça played Juliet Nichols. The show was a mixed magazine style format, aimed primarily at a young teenage audience and children. Cartoons which were featured, included ', Samurai Pizza Cats, The Real Ghostbusters and Scooby Doo.
