A popular figure in Kumaon, Mohan Upreti is remembered for his immense contribution towards the revival and revitalization of the Kumaoni folk music; and for his efforts towards preserving old Kumaoni ballads, songs and folk traditions and is known for his song “Bedu Pako, Bara Masa”.
