Mohammad Abu Abdallah Ben Hudzäil al Sähuir, popularly known as Al-Azraq الأزرق ("the blue" - referring to his eyes), was an Arab Moorish commander in the Iberian Peninsula in the south of the Kingdom of Valencia. He was son of a Muslim father, Hudzäil al Sähuir and of a Christian mother. As a vassal in the Christian kingdom he spent long seasons in the courts of Aragon, Valencia and Granada, on friendly terms with the kings of Aragon and of Castile.

After the conquest of the Kingdom of Valencia by Jaime I of Aragon, Al-Azraq signed the Al-Azraq Treaty of 1245, a pact with the Aragonese king by which the Muslim commander could keep control of a series of fortifications in the valleys of Alcalá and Gallinera. Despite the treaty, Al-Azraq led uprisings in 1248 and 1258, when he made an attempt on the life of Jaime I but was defeated. In 1276 he met his death while besieging Alcoy, at the hands of a Christian native from Játiva.

Fou el cabdill de les tres revoltes mudèjars del sud del Regne de València i que el va posar en perill més d'un cop. Molts autors han trobat en la rememoració de les revoltes d'Al-Azraq l'origen de les festes de Moros i Cristians d'Alcoi.

Era hijo del valí Hudzäil al Sähuir y de madre cristiana. Pasó largas temporadas en las cortes de Aragón, Valencia y Granada; tenía amistad con los reyes de Aragón y de Castilla. Tras la conquista del reino de Valencia por Jaime I de Aragón, Al-Azraq estableció un pacto con el monarca aragonés, por el que el señor musulmán obtuvo el control de una serie de fortificaciones en los valles de Alcalá y Gallinera. Sin embargo, debido a los continuos abusos contra la población musulmana, Al-Azraq encabezó tres sublevaciones contra el monarca aragonés: La primera en 1244. La segunda entre 1248 y 1258, en la que estuvo a punto de acabar con la vida de Jaime I pero acabó siendo desterrado. La última en 1276, llamado por la población, harta de abusos, en la que el caudillo árabe acabó encontrando la muerte mientras se encontraba sitiando Alcoy a manos de caballeros venidos de Játiva.
